Risk Management: Individual risk assessments can be conducted or overall risk management plans can be developed or reviewed. AXENTO SAFETY can provide effective facilitation of group or team risk management exercises and document the outcomes for training, auditing and practical risk control purposes.

Risk Control: AXENTO SAFETY assist organisations to evaluate risk assessments against control options to ensure that they meet the criteria for being ‘reasonably practicable’ and in accordance with the Hierarchy of Controls.  They can be used to evaluate the effectiveness of existing and newly implemented controls to verify that no additional hazards have been introduced.

Risk Management: AXENTO SAFETY can provide client organisations with comprehensive risk management advice and support services including assistance to identify hazards, assess risks associated with those hazards in the context of the organisations workplaces then assist the client to identify suitable controls to ensure a safe workplace and reduce the likelihood of incidents, legal action and disruptions to business continuity.

Health & Safety Staff Assistance: AXENTO SAFETY provide practical assistance for existing health and safety staff and/or mentoring to new occupational health and safety graduates and other staff who have health and safety responsibilities. Support can range from:

  • backup when health and safety staff are on leave;
  • hands on assistance with practical health and safety tasks;
  • strategic planning to maximise effectiveness;

Incident Investigation: AXENTO SAFETY provide incident investigation and Expert Witness services to legal firms. AXENTO SAFETY also conducts health & safety incident investigations to assist employers to better understand the root causes of incidents and improve their systems and processes and to prevent recurrence.

In addition AXENTO SAFETY helps to defend prosecutions for alleged breaches of Health & Safety legislation and can provide reports to assist plaintiffs or defendants in common law actions.Of note is a major investigation and follow-up activities which Jon facilitated in Singapore. These activities resulted in a sustained 550% reduction in serious incidents amongst motorcycle riders involved in traffic policing duties.

Expert Witness: Jon is experienced in working under instructions from legal firms for the prosecution or the defence to provide detailed incident reviews, analysis and reports as an Expert Witness in compliance with the Expert Witness Code of Conduct.  These reports can be used to support actions under Common Law and/or health and safety legislation.
